What happened to my new package of bees

I just put my new package of bees in and there is no queen!

So, picture this: I'm all geared up, ready to follow up and a gang of bees that i introduced into hives. It's always a bit of an adventure, you know? Anyway, I make sure the queen gets her grand entrance a few days later, and just for kicks, I even mark her.

But here's the kicker: no eggs. Nada. Zilch. Unlike my other bee crews, this bunch seems to be taking their sweet time getting down to business. Not one to sit around twiddling my thumbs, I decide to take action. I throw in a frame of brood and larvae, hoping to give them a little kickstart.

Fast forward a few days, and what do I find? Well, let me tell you, it's like a whole new hive. Despite the rocky start, these bees have really taken to the eggs/larvae I brought in. They're buzzing around, doing their thing (making queen cells).

This whole experience has been a wild ride, reminding me that nature's got its own timeline. Sometimes you've gotta roll with the punches and give a helping hand when needed. Being a beekeeper isn't just about watching from the sidelines; it's about getting in there and being part of the action.

As I keep tending to my buzzing buddies, I'm struck by the amazing connection we have with the natural world. It's a reminder that we've got a responsibility to look out for our little winged friends and the environment they call home. So here's to more adventures in beekeeping – you never know what you'll find when you open up that hive!

Gotta love AI art.......
